# Accessing care during a natural disaster

As we grapple with the aftermath of the recent hurricanes, know that you are at the heart of our mission. Our thoughts and sincerest sympathies are with our clients and the members of our Personify Health community as well as everyone in the affected areas.

When unprecedented events disrupt our daily lives, it can be unsettling, to say the least. In response, we're sharing a reminder of the services and supports you have access to that are designed to lighten your load in these taxing times.

#### I need to see a doctor

If you find yourself in need of a doctor during this challenging time, the first step is to contact your doctor’s office to confirm their current operating status. Many healthcare providers are offering both virtual and in-office visits, ensuring continued care through this crisis.

Should you encounter difficulties in scheduling an appointment or require assistance in finding a suitable healthcare provider, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. You can reach us using the phone number located on the back of your member ID card. Our dedicated team is here to support you in accessing the necessary care and medications.

#### I am struggling with anxiety and stress

For assistance, guidance, or simply a reassuring voice, reach out to us using the phone number on your member ID card. We're committed to standing with you through every step of this challenging period.

You can also call or text the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990. This national hotline provides free 24/7, crisis counseling for people who are experiencing emotional distress related to any natural or human-caused disaster.

United Way’s 2-1-1 is Central Florida’s 24/7/365 information and assistance hotline during natural disasters, and throughout the year, for connecting with community resources, like:

• Shelter information and housing assistance   
• Sandbags, tarps and other storm supplies   
• Evacuation routes and road closures   
• Food, clothing and hygiene locations   
• Special needs registry and medical supplies   
• Emotional and crisis support

If members need help finding a doctor, refilling prescriptions, or are in need of other healthcare services, please encourage them to reach out using the number on their member ID card.
