Finish Strong: Proven tactics to boost end-of-year engagement

As we head into the final stretch of the year, it’s the perfect time to double down on strategies that drive meaningful engagement. The goal — maintain consistent member engagement through the end of the year, rather than letting it taper off. These last few months help set the stage for a powerful start to the new program year. 

Here are a few tried-and-true tactics that are gaining traction across our client base. Whether you're aligning with Open Enrollment or looking to energize your annual game, these ideas are built to deliver results. 

 

🎯 Align with Open Enrollment 

Encourage your Benefits Team to integrate platform activities with your Open Enrollment initiatives and benefits conversations. A simple way to boost participation is by offering attestation forms or digital vouchers to your members who attend informational sessions or engage with key communications. 

 

💥 Double Points Campaigns & Related Resources 

An “oldie but a goodie”—Double Points Campaigns consistently drive engagement. During the months of November and December, you can launch a campaign focused on fostering connections, reducing holiday stress, and nutrition. These campaigns boost overall engagement as well as increase Coaching sessions. 

Additionally, don’t forget to share timely resources alongside your campaign. Use all your channels (company intranet, Slack or Microsoft Teams, or even Announcement Cards on the Personify Health platform) to share resources focused on stress management, holiday nutrition tips, and work-life balance resources. 

 

📧 Health Check Reminder Emails  

Do you have Health Check enabled? Don’t let your members miss out on the opportunity to get personalized recommendations (and even earn rewards). This dynamic, evidence-based assessment tool offers an engaging and meaningful experience that recognizes a member’s changing health, needs, and interests and inspires people down their own unique and relevant path to better health. 

As your members enter the last few months of the year, this is the perfect time to complete Health Check to see the progress they’ve made this year. Consider sending targeted reminders to members who haven’t completed their Health Check. This quick, easy win boosts platform activity while also helping your members stay on track.

 

🕹️ Q4 Consistency Campaigns 

For clients with annual games, many members reach their top level prior to Q4. To build momentum and maintain engagement levels, we suggest a Consistency & Engagement Campaign. This campaign is designed to keep members participating in the full game throughout Q4 (i.e. completing at least 1 journey, completing 20 days of cards each month, and completing a survey).

The incentive—anyone who completes this campaign, gets 1,000 points to start off their new program year.  Equates to 10% of points to reach their Level 1 in their annual game.

Did you know that the last few months of each year are prime time for giving? That’s right. Many companies make donations during this season, and members love contributing to a cause. Help build a community among your population while boosting platform engagement at the same time.
